Fall is here

I just love this time of year.  Cool weather, beautiful landscapes, football, Halloween, Thanksgiving, our wedding anniversary are just a few of the reasons.  We have been quite busy this year.  Ashlie doing dance 2 nights a week and Girl Scouts one, then Maxx with preschool and tumbling.  My little car sure gets a work out.  I just hope it makes is a few more years without too many issues.

Ashlie and Maxx both got to participate in the USU Homecoming parade with LaShars.  Maxx was terrified to ride the float, but I held firm and had him do it.  He did great after his tumbling teacher arrived and reassured him that she would be close by.  Ash loves the spotlight and did great with her waving, cheering, etc.  It was different to sit on the curb with out any kids to keep in line.  I do not miss the candy that they would have collected had they not been in the parade.

I have been busy with Girl Scouts getting this year going.  Getting all of the troop registered, putting together the end of year financial report, and planning a Bridging Ceremony have kept me going.  Now that all is behind me and I can relax a bit an focus on helping the girls earn some badges.

Last weekend we enjoyed some family time in Park City.  It was nice to just shop, swim, and eat on our own.  Love going places with our families, but it is nice to go with just the four of us sometimes.  We did end up getting together with some good friends from Logan who had planned a weekend in Park City as well, which we did not even know about.  Their kids and ours played well while we were able to visit.  It was pretty in Park City, but not near as breathtaking as Sardine Canyon!  Wow, it is gorgeous up there this year.  Love love fall time!

A few weeks ago we were able to attend the open house of the Brigham City temple.  It is so peaceful and lovely in the temple.  Ashlie thought the celestial room looked like a palace.  Tony and his parents went with us.  I was glad that they were able to go and see the temple, also to learn about temples and why they are such an important part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tony visited the eye doctor the same day as the open house.  We received the news that the cornea he received just under 2 years ago is failing!  Yikes, not again.  His doctors did say that if he is comfortable that he can wait before taking any action on this eye.  He is more that happy not to have another surgery for a while.  So we will wait it out as long as possible.

Church was nice today.  Kids are getting ready for the Primary program.  Next week is General Conference so we will host our Sunday AM session waffle bar for the family.
