Happy Birthday Payton!

January 26 was the 2nd anniversary of Payton's birth. This year was much easier than last, and I'm sure with each year that passes the deep feelings of grief will fade. I still shed some tears, and reflected on the short time that I had my baby boy with me on this earth. He had such a struggle, and I am so greatful for The Father's mercy in allowing Payton to return to a peaceful and pain free Heaven. We took some balloons to the cemetary, and released them into the air with little notes attached to them. We then were blessed with just enough snow to do a few sled runs. Last year's sledding adventure ended with Tony busting a gut into the sidewalk, and this year it was Ashlie who catupulted off of the front of the sled, face first into the snow. We may need to find a new hill what does not have a sidewalk at the bottom, or wear some protective head gear. Anyway, it was a nice day, and it is special in the way that it makes our family realize just how much we love each other and have to be thankful for. Love you all!

Thanks for sharing that! I was touched by the way your family handles that day. Instead of a day to mourn you still celebrate as a family. What strength. It's no wonder that your family was chosen to be sent a perfect spirit. I know the Lord will continue to bless and strengthen your family as you continue to raise a righteous family. Although I can't imagine the pain, I can imagine the joy that you guys will have when you are reunited as an eternal family. I'm grateful to consider you guys as friends.
