He did it!

Maxx did it! He fell asleep on his own for the first time in his life! He has always needed to be rocked or nursing to fall asleep. Well, today I layed him in the cradle while he was fussy. I went about my household duties while he fussed, and then, all of the sudden, silence! I peeked in, and Maxx was holding his fingers in his mouth with his other hands just sucking away and sleeping! He loves sucking on his hands, fists, fingers, my fingers, shoulders, and arms! Now he has figured out how to keep the fingers in the mouth. I hope this is a sign of better nights to come.

Maxx's second great achievement - rolling over! He has been trying for a few weeks to get from his back to his belly. Yesterday I was doing dishes and turned to see Maxx had not only rolled from his back to belly, but had rolled from belly to back, and made it across the living room.

It is so much fun to watch him develop new skills. His social skills are so cute. He is so smiley, and loves to play peek a boo. Ashlie takes good care of him. and keeps him company while I am busy. She, too, is developing new skills. She has advanced to level 3 in swimming, and is doing the backfloat by herself. She loves to swim, and has the muscular frame needed for the sport. Maybe we will see Ash in the 2024 olympics!

Love to all!

Well, Maxx will teach you to turn your back on him. Another round of "kid proofing" the house is around the corner.
