A New Start
So my friend has inspired me to blog again. Life has been quite a challenge for us the past 9 months. The stress of Tony's job was weighing heavy on him, and therefore us, so we decided that he needed to resign from the police department to get into a new line of work. Just as he was getting going on his job search he re-injured his new transplanted cornea!! That put him out of commission for a few months. Around Christmas of 2011 he started working again. A few odd and end jobs, and now he has landed right back where he loved, Comcast. What a blessing for our family. I forgot how happy he is when he is doing what he enjoys. The police officer job was not for him, and it was hard on our family. I have tremendous respect for police officers and their families. I am still in the copy industry, currently at AlphaGraphics about 8 hours a week. It is fine. I am taking classes online to get certified as a medical coding specialist. The goal is to work from home about 20 hours a week. This will help us rebuild our savings and pay off some debt. Ashlie is getting ready to finish 1st grade. She is such a smart, kind, fun girl! She took first place at the Science Fair for the K/1st grade levels. She is dancing, and also a girl scout. I volunteer as a leader for her troop. We have had a lot of fun together doing that. Ashlie will go to a 3 day 2 night resident camp, without me, this summer at Camp Cloud Rim. She is very excited to hike, swim in a lake, and meet new friends. Maxxwell just graduated from his preschool class today. So cute! I was so lucky to join up with 3 amazing moms and darling boys to teach a preschool this year. Maxx has gained many social skills, coming out of his shell a little. He is such a shy boy. So so sweet. I worry sometimes about how timid he is, but he will be okay. He is trying to learn how to write his name, we still have one year to kindergarten. He has a lot of skills to work on, I try to work with him each day. He is very different from Ashlie academically, I have a challenge ahead with him. I pray that he will be able to learn and excel as he grows older and gains more confidence. I am teaching the Sunbeam Class (3/4 yrs) at church. Those children as so sweet, and they love to learn about Jesus and Heavenly Father. This is a real blessing in my life, teaching me more than the children. Well off I go. I am planning on writing 1 or 2 times a week. Summer is on the way, only 2 weeks left of school!!!! I am just as excited as Ashlie I think!

Fall fun (oh, and Ashlie's new hair cut)
It has been a fun fall for our family. We have raked, and raked, celebrated Halloween for a week, raked, planted bulbs in our beautiful new back yard, played in the leaves that we raked, watched football (Da Bears, what up???), had new haircuts for the kids, and did I mention rake? We are enjoying our new home so much. It is so much bigger, but it is still cozy, and is officially our HOME now. Tony's eye is doing so well, what a blessing. Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and then Christmas! Wow! Enjoy the photos. Love to all!
BTW, if you go to my facebook page and to my photos, there are a lot more to see.

Autumn Drive to Tony Grove
We decided to go on a ride up Logan Canyon to see what leaves were left. Not many, but we did find enough snow at Tony Grove to make a snow man! It was a fun day. We then continued over to Bear Lake for a cafe burger and fries, yum! After getting home, Maxx napped while Ashlie and I weeded and tilled the rose garden to prep it for fall and some bulbs along the front of it. What a fun day! Love living in Logan so close to these mountais. Where else can you make a snowman and 30 minutes later put on shorts and prep the flowers.

The haircut
As you can see in the photos, or in person for some of you, Maxxwell's hair was getting a bit unruly, and I failed miserably at my attempt to trim his bangs (sorry Mom and Grandma). I was so sad to see his curls go, but he got his first hair cut on Monday, Sept 28. He is a big boy now, and what a fun one he his.
Updates
We are loving the new house. I am slowly getting the 70s style updated, but now am at a halt with the upcoming medical bills from Tony's eye surgery. He is doing well, thanks to everyone for their prayers and concern. Ashlie is having a blast at dance this year, and is learning so much in preschool. Maxx is growing and sillier than every. He is a funny little scamp! I am just me, nothing to update there. Enjoy the photos. Love ya'll!

I'm alive!!
So I am terrible at keeping this up. So, so busy with this house selling and house buying business. Can't wait to get more space, but I am going to miss our home and Crescent Drive sooooo much. I don't know if we will ever find neighbors as great as the Bigelow's. They give us lots of excitement along with friendship and love. Do any of you have neighbors who have the 3 wisemen on their roof every Christmas, and of course, they are with the times, having a dark skinned wise men among the revered! Anyway, here are a few photos, enjoy. I will try to keep up with this better. Love to all!
