Mom, Cathy, and Sarah have all talked to me today and encouraged me. Maxxwell is the biggest challenge of my universe! I have successfully managed and grown a business, kept a spotless home, kept myself in shape, and thus far raised a very smart and wonderful 4 year old. But at 3:3o in the morning, when Tony and I were frustrated and arguing after Maxx had been up since midnight, and Ash came in and said what can I do to help, I have been at my wits end. When will this cute boy sleep??? We finally got the tree up. But where's the village??? Ashlie wonders. My friend and visiting teacher, Jen, had this song on her blog. I truly needed it. I honestly wonder some days what am I doing?? How long will I have to hold Maxx for 20 hours a day??? How long will I have to look at dirty floors and laundry that is not put away??? So here is the song. Thanks for sharing it, and I hope that anyone who is feeling like me, like where are the padded walls, will be able to feel uplifted after reading. Love you all!
WHO YOU ARE
I know you wonder if you'll ever have a day
When the kids stay calm, the laundry's done, and the dishes are put away.
And sometimes you feel like your days are spent and gone
And the question running through your mind is what have I gotten done?
And when you finally have a moment to slow down
At the end of your dayI know Father would say
Believe in what you're doing
Believe in who you are
Hold tight to the truth that you're a daughter of God
Believe in who you're becoming
Believe in who you are
It may seem simple-all the little things you do
But the lives you touch matter so much
And there's no one else like you
And Father needs you to stand tall and faithful
To be all you can be
Oh, if you could see what He sees, you'd Believe in what you're doing
Believe in who you are
Hold tight to the truth that you're a daughter of God
Believe in who you're becoming
Believe in who you are
When it's hard to believe in yourself
And you feel like you're beginning to doubt
Remember He believes in what you're doing
He believes in who you are
Don't lose sight of the truth that you're a daughter of God
That he believes in who you're becoming
He believes in who you are

I love you, thanks for the song (tears)........being a mom can be hard, but when you truly look into their stubborn little eyes you just know how much they need you & we need them. Stay strong your house will ALWAYS be cleaner than mine :)...just a personality etc thing I think.
LOVE YOU TONS & TONS
CAT
Steph! I love you and think of you often. I wish I was closer to help. Stay strong with Maxx. He is such a special boy and so handsome. For some reason he needs you alittle more. He will get old sooner than you think and will not want to be held and you will wish at many moments you could hold him still again.
It's often said that a person is their worst critic. Don't be so hard on yourself. From this Dad's point of view you are doing wonderfully. Look beyond the day. Take that deep breath and find the gratitude for all that you have and let the rest go.
Love ya!
Dad
ps: I think this works for your sisters too.
Thanks for sharing! It's nice to know that other parents feel overwhelmed at times also. Your doing great! Hope you guys had a great Christmas! I'll try planning that winter party soon.
