How soon we forget

Having Maxx home, I have realized just how quickly we forget the sweetness of newborns, the 3am feedings, the grunting, the squeeling, and the pure innocence and perfection of these little spirits so fresh out of Heaven. I remember telling Sarah that the days that seem so terrible, when you are running on 3 hours of sleep, will soon be forgotten, and you will be staring down your 3 year old wondering how many times you need to ask her to get in the bathtub. I am cherishing these quiet moments with my little Maxxwell, knowing that soon he will be running wild with his big sister, getting into the fridge, sneaking outside beneath my legs when I'm grabbing the mail. I am truly enjoying this new motherhood, and watching Ashlie interact with Maxx. She loves to say that he is so handsome, and is doing a great job being a big sister. What a blessing these children are.
